Mission Statement
IDA Houston is a forum for physicians of Indian origin of the greater Houston area to collectively provide charitable patient care and support to those in need as well as promote health education to members of the public.
The Indian Doctors Charity Clinic is non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in March 1999 and has been running uninterrupted successfully to this day . The clinic is open to Houstonians (age 18 or older) of all ethnic groups once a week, Saturday, from 9 AM to 12 noon. Patients who do not have insurance or are indigent are seen completely free of charge regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity.
The clinic is run by volunteer doctors from the Houston Indian community under the umbrella of the Indian Doctors Association of Houston. Any volunteer in the health related field (doctors, nurses, phlebotomists, interperters, administrative, etc.) interested in volunteering on a Saturday for a three hour shift may contact:
